There are many birds around Mahavilachchiya. They are very beautiful. They have many colors. Red, orange, blue, grey, yellow, green, black, brown and white are some of the colors. Birds have beaks, feathers and wings.

I reccommend you to join the Field Ornithology Group of Sri Lanka’s FOG Kids. They conduct regular lectures and field trips for children interested in birds. You will enjoy it. Just visit the University of Colombo from the Thurstan Collage side and go to Prof. Sarath Kotagama’s office. There is an uncle called Indika and he will help you to get the membership, which is around Rs. 200 for adults (so it should be less for you, I think!).
